“Real‐Sound” is a term we created to help our customers envision a musical soundscape. Our guiding corporate philosophy is to create products that enable you to achieve a more faithful reproduction of recorded music. We achieve this goal through careful consideration of individual parts and considerable care is taken for matching each part. We also believe that “Real-Sound” is in fact live music. Sonically the size and shape of every instrument, every nuance, and every voice must be reproduced free of any coloration.

To achieve our philosophy of “Real‐Sound”, we have pursued the latest in Pulse Width Modulation Class‐D amplification and have achieved 96% efficiency in the all‐important power stage. Furthermore, in order to improve sound quality, we use the bare minimum of parts in the signal path: this helps to create the “Real‐Sound” we believe is the ultimate in high‐fidelity.

Our amplifiers feature hermetically-sealed, MIL-Spec, oil-in-paper capacitors that have been used for the past half century. In addition, our DMCA Ruby-Mica-Capacitors further enhance our “Real‐Sound” philosophy. Even the power switch is an aircraft grade switch that ensures high quality conduction, and minimal contact noise. Throughout the manufacturing process, extra care has been taken to achieve a no‐dust environment, and you will find the same level of attention to detail throughout our entire product line. Our “Real-Sound-Processor” line-up is a fine example of our innovative thinking. By counteracting the electro-motive forces of a loudspeaker, you are able to hear your favorite track with unprecedented information often hidden without such a device.

Together with some of the finest craftsmen (or “shokunin”*1 in Japanese), we produce our products to extremely fine tolerances. You will notice that the woodwork on the paneling is of highest standards that you would find in fine furniture.

The woodwork is not merely decorative: it is there because it offers a more natural tonal quality over synthetic man-made materials. This attention to detail is yet another example of our exacting standards. We source the wood from various locales to be handcrafted and assembled by the finest craftsmen in Japan.

We have carefully selected and collaborated with various manufacturers to achieve our vision of “Real-Sound”. We have partnered with Arizona Capacitors to create our line of hermetically-sealed oil-in-paper capacitors. We have sourced our DMCA Ruby-Mica from a region in Bihar, India, which has the highest quality Ruby-Mica. Our DMCA Ruby-Mica capacitors have extremely high voltage capacity, are exceedingly fluid in their sonic transparency and are extremely stable at temperature. Many of the constituent parts within our products are proprietary, and made to our specifications. There is even a secret to how the spacing and height of the surface mount components changes the sound, and to the careful use of shielding and type of shielding. Too much shielding in both RFI and EMI can choke the sound. We conduct many listening tests of multiple iterations of prototypes before we arrive at a production model. These are but a few of the steps we have taken to ensure that you receive the finest quality products that we can offer.

We believe strongly that the playback of music must be inviting, invigorating, exciting, comforting, and above all something that sounds so natural that the individual notes combine to create “Real‐Sound”. One chord of a particular musical track can bring you back in time much like a time machine.

We also recognize that the Japanese ear is slightly different to the American ear, and different to the European ear, and we have made the necessary fine adjustments to suit the different locales and listening tastes.

Looking to the future, we believe that in today’s eco‐friendly world the solution for audiophiles is high‐quality PWM Class‐D amplification that can achieve extraordinary efficiency and superior driving power all the while reducing heat produced by the amplifier.

We will overcome every hurdle to achieve this ultimate goal of “Real‐Sound”. Our vision for the future is limitless and free of boundaries. We will not be limited to our imagination. We will pursue our goal of “Real‐Sound” enthusiastically and without abandon. This is SPEC‐Corp’s guiding philosophy in the pursuit of “Real‐Sound”.

Please join us and have a seat in your favorite chair or listening position, relax, and enjoy “Real‐Sound” brought to you by SPEC-Corp along with your favorite beverage!

*1 The Japanese word shokunin is defined by both Japanese and Japanese-English dictionaries as ‘craftsman’ or ‘artisan,’ but such a literal description does not fully express the deeper meaning.  The Japanese apprentice is taught that shokunin means not only having technical skills, but also implies an attitude and social consciousness. … The shokunin has a social obligation to work his/her best for the general welfare of the people.  This obligation is both spiritual and material, in that no matter what it is, the shokunin’s responsibility is to fulfill the requirement. -Tasio Odate
